To assist you, we have prepared a template for you to use. This will help you to organize your paper. Follow the instructions below and please ask your professor if you have any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Download the <strong>Module 3 MCA Paper Template<\/strong> (in the Module 3 Management Concepts Assessment in Blackboard). You will use this document for your paper.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the document in Word, and click Save As to place your name in the beginning of the filename.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type your name in the cover sheet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type the date submitted (example: October 1, 2021).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For each heading in the template (example: Chapter 4 \u2013 External and Internal Organizational Environments and Corporate Culture), you will see an area to type the responses to questions on this instructions sheet.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional guidance:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your paper should follow APA format, and should be\u00a0in your own words. Any content you take from a source must be inside quotation marks and must be cited in-text (author, date).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In APA formatting, you are not permitted to use \u201cI.\u201d Instead, you must be an independent researcher. Choose one of the external factors discussed in Chapter 4, and describe how a change in that factor has recently affected that organization.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How did the organization respond? Was their response effective?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This chapter also focused on different types of organizational structures.\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What are some major differences between mechanistic and organic organizational structures and systems?\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide an example of an organization which utilizes a mechanistic organizational structure, and an example of an organization which utilizes an organic organizational structure. Why do you think they use these type of structures?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This chapter also focuses on organizational culture, one of the internal factors which affect organizations.\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Why do you think it is so critical for a manager to understand the influence of organizational culture on its employees?\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consider a company that you currently work for, or have worked for in the past. Which type of organizational culture would you say that company has, based on the \u201cThe Competing Values Framework\u201d in your etext \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/openstax.org\/books\/principles-management\/pages\/4-5-corporate-cultures#ch04fig21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Exhibit 4.21<\/strong><\/a>? Explain why you came to this conclusion.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Chapter 5 \u2013 Ethics, Corporate Responsibility, and Sustainability<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Why is ethical leadership important in organizations?\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can anyone in the organization be an ethical leader, or do you think this is reserved for managers?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consider the virtue-related values discussed in this chapter. In your current role at work (or a former role if you are not presently working), describe those top 2 or 3 virtue-related values that you feel you are most important to your role as an ethical leader.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the video with Simon Sinek in the Module 3 Lesson, he describes the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as being more than just donating money.
